Key Stage 2 Results

Key Stage 2 (KS2) SATs scores are reported as scaled scores ranging from 80 to 120.

A scaled score of 100 or more indicates that a pupil has met the expected standard for the key stage. Any score below 100 means the pupil has not met the expected standard. The exact raw scores needed to reach these scaled scores vary each year and by subject, so the score itself is what matters for assessing attainment.

What the Scores Mean

  • 80-99: Not meeting the expected standard, often referred to as "working towards".
  • 100: Meeting the expected standard.
  • 101-120: Exceeding the expected standard.
